The first full weekend of college football is here, and that means my first full week of Picks to Click has arrived as well.
Last week I opened with a pick for the Florida-Miami game, and the Gators did prevail as I predicted. I am going to go ahead and include point spreads and game totals in my weekly Picks to Click, so that means I will go ahead and keep track of not only my straight up records for Picks to Click, but also the record against the spread.
This should be a disclaimer that I do not consider my picks below to be any sort of gambling advice, simply a fun way for me to share my thoughts on the set of games coming up while keeping an eye on the point spreads and game totals that so many people like to do. It’s no secret betting on sports is becoming more popular than ever, and that will continue to grow as it becomes legalized in more places around the country.
Looking at this week’s slate, there is not a lot of big time national matchups. However, it is a critical weekend for the Pac-12. UCLA and Utah have difficult road matchups tonight, while ASU opens at home against Kent State. Oregon State and Colorado are in action Friday night, and then there is the rest of the league on Saturday. Certainly the Oregon-Auburn showdown will draw plenty of attention, but Stanford-Northwestern is another important game for the conference.
